Golden Apple

I was sitting in the middle of class today when two ladies from the PTA came in with flowers and chocolate for me! They announced that I was the winner of the "Golden Apple Award" This award is decided by votes from parents and studnets for the teacher that they think is the best! And I won! I almost cried! What a wonderful day!

(Note from Joseph: Melinda has been wanting a "Panther Praise", a recognition of outstanding work from Dixon's principal, since she started working there. Seven months and no luck despite all the heart and soul she's been putting in to her kids and to the school. Well, this is better than she's ever expected and it really means a lot to her to know that the kids and parents consider her the best teacher at Dixon. I'm just glad she's finally getting the recognition she deserves.)
