Athletic Supporter?????

It's football season and dad has to explain new terminology. When I asked John if he had a "jock strap", he asked, "Jaw Strap?" I guess the locker room slang has changed a bit.

The coach for Matt's team told them to get an athletic supporter. (Since wHen do 9 year olds need an athletic supporter?) I told him not to put on his football pants yet because we had to go to Target to buy an athletic supporter. He looked sort of puzzled. I asked, "Do you know what an athletic supporter is?" He said, "Yes, Your mom or your dad."

Mom and I had to bite our lips. Oh, the life of a parent.
